在 LEB 看到 AlphaRacks 搞活动,刚好手里的 VPS 的内存不够用. 所以买了一台 $29 年付的 2GB SSD KVM VPS 套餐.

AlphaRacks, 成立于 2013, 只有 Los Angeles 机房. 此次折扣是续费也有效.
简单看了一下 TOS ,支持 18 禁内容,等老司机开车.
网友评论,他家的 OpenVZ 比较烂, KVM 还可以,购买 OpenVZ 需要谨慎.
电信测速只有 10KB/s 多点,不适合某些用途,适合建站之类的. 用 Cloudflare 套层 CDN ,把 7G 的数据库文件拖下来建从库,稳定在 5MB/s 左右.

使用 nench.sh ,测试 AlphaRacks 2GB SSD KVM, BandwagonHost 2GB SSD KVM (双十一活动套餐), RamNode 1GB SSD OpenVZ.

不论 CPU, IO, IOPS, 网速方面的性能,RamNode 都领先,虽然是 OpenVZ, 但毕竟是 3.5 美元一个月.
AlphaRacks 和 BandwagonHost 两个 KVM 比较看起来差不多, BandwagonHost 的 IO, IOPS 差点,但网络要好些.

自己的网站是 Rails 写的,有装 New Relic ,昨晚网站 RamNode 迁移到 AlphaRacks ,顺便把 MySQL 从 5.7 升级到 8.0 .
从 New Relic 的 Web transactions time 报表来看, 主要是 MySQL 的耗时增加了,平均差不多增加了 50 ms .不太清楚是机器性能影响的,还是升级 MySQL 导致的.
所以不太差钱的,可以考虑购买 RamNode ,性能还是有点优势.
